The Future of Kate Middleton
What do you do next if you’re dumped by your Prince Charming and inevitably hung out to dry in the media spotlight?
That’s the dilemma faced by Kate Middleton as she contemplates her future post-Prince William.
As an ex-Royal girlfriend of four years standing, she has a great public profile, with more column-inch potential than the average Reality TV babe. The danger is, though, that once the constraints of Royal life are thrown off, the temptation to let her hair down may get the better of her.
So, will she spread her wings and fly farther and faster than a berth in the Royal Family would have allowed? There’s speculation about an offer of public relations work with New York designer Tom Ford.
Kate is said to have told her family that’s she’s considering a “temporary” move to New York. Part of the reason is to escape the relentless exposure of media coverage in the UK.
The more intriguing explanation is that she’s considering the resurrection of her former plans for an online children’s clothing business. A spell with a fashion house in the Big Apple would be invaluable for making those international contacts necessary for most businesses in the 21st century.
Although Kate is said not to consider herself a fashion geek, like all young women she keeps an eye on current trends.
The blooming of Kate Middleton may well start at Bloomingdales.
